Physician's Assistants
Physician Assistant Statement of Utilization
The utilization of physician assistants (PAs) in the field of orthopedics offers vital benefits to our practice and our patients. Steve Frantz, PA-C, who has assisted us for 18 years, is very specialized and is an integral aspect of our practice. His medical expertise and orthopedic experience, as well as that of our other PAs, is of great value to our patients and the high level of personal service we provide.
PAs will see patients individually and with physicians in the office. Every patient seen is reviewed by a physician after a PA sees them. When Drs. Barron, Homesley or Valentine are unavailable they request that their patients see one of their PAs so there is no interruption in care. Our PAs can take calls after hours, write prescriptions and, most importantly, assist in surgery. Please learn more about Steve Frantz and our other PAs, Mike Riznyk and Bryan Kerchner, below.
